What are we doing today?
Here is a timeline of our class for the semester. I expect that you follow up with this timeline daily and come to class prepared with your completed homework in hand. *Timeline is subject to change.*
Introduction to E&E + Scientific Method + Scientific Notation:
August 27: Introductions, procedures, "Growth Mindset" discussion, and an introduction to EES.
HW: Return signed syllabus, All About Me 'Facebook' sheet, and Lab Safety contract by FRIDAY AUGUST 31st!
Make sure to bring in a composition notebook as soon as possible--September 4 (Tuesday) the latest.
August 28: Lab safety overview, Earth Science sub-specialties, Earth 'spheres', and beginning of scientific method.
HW: None
August 29: Scientific Method & Experimentation vs. Investigation. Check the files below to see a simplified graphic of scientific method.
HW: Pick 6 'design an experiment' questions from the worksheet posted on my website and complete. Write on notebook paper and turn in at the proper bin tomorrow at the beginning of class. This will be an informal grade. Remember, make sure to turn in signed contracts by FRIDAY the latest!
August 30: Measurement (Section 1.2 in eBook),
HW: NO QUIZ tomorrow. I have rescheduled it to Tuesday. PLEASE have your lab contract signed and brought in. If you do not have a printer, please have your guardian email me their approval after reviewing the CMS Student Safety contract file below.

1. Log into my.ncedcloud.org
2. Click on Canvas link --> click on my class
3. Click the "Connect Ed" tab
4. A bar will enter and require a class code: 3rd Block (qQ2DBgDo) and 4th Block (mgC5YaiL). Enter this code and it will say on the screen that you have joined my class.
5. Wait for me to approve your request and then you should have access. Email me if you have any questions.
